"We have incredible players" Jurgen Klopp tips Liverpool to challenge for the Premier League again

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp backed his side to challenge for the Premier League title once again this season.

The Reds were victorious in the FA and Carabao Cup competitions last season but narrowly missed out on a historic achievement.

Falling short in the league and in Europe, Klopp's men will be particularly motivated this season for success.

He was in a particularly confident mood talking about his team ahead of the start of pre-season in Asia.

With the Reds boasting some of the best talent in the league, he was quick to remind us that Liverpool are not going anywhere:

"We have four of the best centre-backs in the world, we have the two best left & right-backs - and we didn't even speak about the goalkeeper... " Klopp claimed.

"The basis is there but, of course, our opponents didn't sleep so they improve as well. We know that."

With Liverpool re-signing Mohamed Salah and Joe Gomez on long-term deals as well as signing Darwin Nunez and Fabio Carvalho - Liverpool have definitely strengthened following Sadio Mane's departure.

Fans were hoping for a midfield signing this summer in the shape of Jude Bellingham, but Klopp was quick to point out their existing talent already in the squad.

"I know that people think we should have signed a midfielder...actually we have because Harvey Elliot was our best player in the first four matches of the start of last season.

"We've signed Fabio Carvalho who is a really interesting player and Tyler Morton is now training as an 8, so when you see him now training, he's absolutely exceptional." Klopp added.

Liverpool face Crystal Palace in Asia before heading to Germany and Austria to face RB Leipzig and RB Salzburg.

They end the month with the Community Shield against Manchester City before facing Fulham on the opening weekend of the Premier League.
