Virgil van Dijk has been pictured preparing for the new Premier League season on his holiday before he reports for pre-season.

James Milner (predictably) won the lactate test once again this summer - he's won it every season since joining the club.

But elsewhere, van Dijk is prepping to return and make another mammoth impact on a Liverpool season.

This time, he should be free from any niggling doubts he may have had about his knee last season upon his return from a preventable ACL tear.

The Dutchman is yet to report for pre-season but should be back late this week.
