Video: Fabio Carvalho drops major hint ahead of Liverpool move- personal terms agreed, medical complete

Fabio Carvalho has responded coyly when asked about his move to Liverpool which is widely reported to be completed already.

The 19-year-old enjoyed a breakout season with Fulham in the Championship this term, scoring 11 goals and assisting 8.

His style of play is thrilling to watch and given that Liverpool haven’t had a top attacking midfielder since Philippe Coutinho, Carvalho’s arrival at Anfield is something that indicates a potential tweak to Jurgen Klopp’s system.

However, much like Coutinho under the German’s tutelage, Klopp could transform Carvalho from an attacking midfielder to a no.8 with more licence to roam forward.

Before his move to Barcelona, Coutinho scored 12 goals and assisted 8 in just 20 games and was on course to break records in a Liverpool shirt.

Carvalho may not reach the same heights but he’s still a teenager so it’s clear that time is on his side.

When asked about a potential move to Liverpool, the Fulham star laughed and responded: “We’ll see what happens. Right now, I’m just trying to enjoy the moment and I can’t thank these fans enough. We’ll see what happens.”

With a move to sign the young attacker all but wrapped up, according to multiple sources, Liverpool fans can now get excited about seeing Carvalho join the club this summer.

The youngster has already agreed personal terms with the Reds and has already completed a medical.

His goal for Fulham, potentially his last at Craven Cottage for a while, was a beauty and an indication of how good he is on the move.

If he can translate his success with Fulham to the Reds next season, the £5m Liverpool are paying to capture his signature will go down as another bargain.
