Michael Edwards must use Napoli interest in 25-year-old LFC star to sign rapid forward

Liverpool should use Napoli's interest in Kostas Tsimikas to sign Hirving Lozano at a discounted price as they scour the market for a new forward this summer.

The Liverpool Echo reports that Neco Williams is 'expected to leave' this summer with the Reds appreciative of the 20-year-old's desire to be playing every week.

I've already said that it could be costly to let him leave without signing a natural replacement given that his only cover would be Joe Gomez and James Milner - neither of which are fullbacks.

That said, if letting Tsimikas join Napoli means Liverpool could sign a player like Lozano, it could be a calculated risk from Michael Edwards and Jurgen Klopp.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Napoli want to sign the Greek left-back but Empire of the Kop reports that the Reds are keen to hold onto him to ensure that they have decent cover for Andy Robertson.

I think they should consider making an offer to the Serie A outfit which involves Tsimikas moving to Naples in exchange for a discounted price on Hirving Lozano, who is valued at £40.5million by Transfermarkt.

The Mexican winger is absolutely rapid and has shown in Italy this season why he is so highly rated, with 15 goals and 5 assists and he would be a great option for Liverpool as they look to reinforce both right-wing and centre-forward.

He's got trickery on the ball, the ability to go beyond his man, can score from a variety of positions and is very good at pressing high up the pitch which is obviously something that is very important to Klopp.
