Thiago Alcantara will return to full training next week as return to ation nears

Thiago Alcantara will return to full training next week as the Liverpool midfielder eyes a return to Premier League action in the New Year, according to Anfield Central sources.

The Spaniard returned to team training on the 18th of December but was not involved in any contact sessions as Liverpool’s physios were merely ramping up his rehabilitation but he is now getting closer to returning to the Premier League matchday squad.

After Richarlison’s horrific challenge on Thiago, the former Bayern Munich star has been out of action for 38 days, missing 14 games.

Jurgen Klopp will be delighted to have Thiago return to his side. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED BY THE TIMES.

Liverpool head into Christmas on the back of a 7-0 demolition job of Crystal Palace but with Sam Allardyce’s West Brom preparing to visit Anfield following Christmas festivities, the Reds will be wary.

Fans across the world will be happy to hear that Thiago is returning to action in the New Year and that his rehab is going to plan after Richarlison nearly ended his season in the Merseyside Derby in October.
