"He is not available": Liverpool receive major boost as Conte says key Spurs starter "hasn’t had a training session"

Liverpool are set to take on Spurs in the Premier League and will be boosted by Antonio Conte reporting that Sergio Reguilon will be unable to play the game.

The Reds host Tottenham at Anfield on Saturday evening and after a massive Champions League semi-final win over Villarreal, Jurgen Klopp's players have another must-win game to contend with.

Manchester City may have been dumped out of the Champions League in dramatic fashion, throwing away a two-goal lead in two minutes, losing 6-5 on aggregate, but they still hold the advantage in the Premier League title race.

With just four games remaining this season, Liverpool are one point behind City and are praying for a miracle to help them on their way to a potential quadruple.

Spurs are up next and will be followed by Aston Villa, Southampton and Wolves while an FA Cup final against Chelsea beckons as well before the UEFA showpiece in Paris.

Spurs boss, Antonio Conte, has given Liverpool a boost as Sergio Reguilon will miss the game at Anfield through injury after being unable to train.

The Italian manager confessed he doesn't know if Reguilon will be fit again before the end of the season.

He told his press conference: “He is not available. He hasn’t had a training session with us. He is not available.

“I honestly don’t know, there are only two weeks before the end of the season, whether it is possible for him to come back.”

No disrespect to Reguilon but Liverpool should beat Spurs even if he is fit as they have developed an incredible ability to win must-win games back-to-back-to-back-to-back and so on.

Liverpool have lost just three games in all competitions this season but draws have held them back at times, being held to a stalemate on 9 occasions.

Klopp will reiterate the importance of winning the remaining games this season but the players in his squad will already be well aware.

The Reds are essentially 7 games from immortality. If the football gods are on their side, a quadruple will take Liverpool into the most elite bracket of club sides.

Enjoy it because these are truly the days we will remember when we're old and grey.
