“The conversations coming out”: Journalist says club has “agreed personal terms” with LFC star: One key component left

Liverpool legend, Sadio Mane, has agreed personal terms with Bayern Munich and the Bavarians have made an opening offer worth £25million.

They would also pay bonuses depending on performance which could see the Reds recoup a further £4million to £8million.

That is, however, an incredibly low fee for a player that has been one of the most elite forwards in Europe since 2017 and has won three trophies this season.

From lifting the AFCON with Senegal to winning the Carabao Cup to helping Senegal qualify for the 2022 World Cup to winning the FA Cup.

Sadio Mane

Mane has had an incredible season on a personal level.

That’s not to mention reaching the Champions League final and taking the Premier League title race to the final day of the season.

Of course, that ended in heartbreak but there is no denying that Mane is worth more than £25m.

Regardless of what the bonus payment structure looks like.

Liverpool spent £34million to sign him from Southampton in June 2016 and that should be the very least that he’s worth now although the Reds must hold out for as close to £50million as possible.

Much of the groundwork is in place for Mane to move to Bayern this summer if an agreement can be reached with Liverpool over a transfer fee.

Sadio Mane and Bayern Munich

Personal terms have already been agreed, Chris Williams reports, and his agency has been briefing journalists regarding Bayern’s interest.

Speaking to BBC Radio Merseyside, Williams elaborated: “From a Bayern perspective, they are convinced Sadio Mane is going to join.

“First week in May, Sadio Mane’s agency started to brief journalists to say that Bayern were interested in Sadio Mane and that then took a lot of traction as we went through the month and it’s not changed.

“In fact, the conversations coming out of Bayern now are pretty much that they have agreed personal terms with the player but there’s one key component to that and it’s Liverpool.

“It looks like Bayern haven’t formally approached them yet, they’ve just gone through his agency.

“I think what Liverpool will want money wise may be enough to put Bayern off if a compromise can’t be found.”

Liverpool hold the key to Mane’s future and unfortunately for the forward, they are likely to make him wait to seal a move to Germany.

PSG are also reportedly interested in Mane although Mane remains focused on joining Bayern and he’s yet to be swayed into ‘pulling a Wijnaldum’ by moving to Paris.
