Roy Keane praises ‘scary’ Liverpool and predicts more success for the Reds – calls them the ‘full package’

Liverpool and Manchester City have established themselves as the two dominant forces in the Premier League in recent years.

Both teams have finished in the top two in three of the last four seasons and their dominance doesn’t look like ending anytime soon.

With the big-money signings of Darwin Nunez and Erling Haaland they look set to blow other teams completely out of the water in the Premier League this season.

Following their win over City in the Community Shield, the former Manchester United captain has tipped Liverpool to continue their success this season.

Roy Keane fires Manchester City warning

The pundit spoke on ITV Sport about the two teams and rated Liverpool and City as the two stand-out teams in the country.

He stressed the importance of a winning habit and how important Jurgen Klopp is to this team.

“A good day for Liverpool. A new striker, good habits to get into winning, other teams might be sitting watching this thinking are these teams going to ease off?

“Not with Pep and Klopp in charge… the hunger and desire from both teams. Klopp got a big smile, looks refreshed, got a new contract. Good luck stopping these teams.

He also praised the quality of their squad’s their options describing Liverpool’s squad as ‘scary’ ahead of the new seasons.

“You’re always putting markers on teams, they’ll be watching looking for signs. This pre-season the whole package, options off the bench it really is scary.

“They’ve got big squads. These boys, the fitness levels are mind-boggling.”

Liverpool begin their Premier League campaign against Fulham whilst City face West Ham on the opening weekend.
