Contact already made - Liverpool tipped to complete mega €75million deal for "unbelievable player"

Liverpool have been tipped to sign Erling Haaland by John Arne Riise ahead of their rivals and speaking to Goal, he said the Norwegian would suit the Reds.

Mohamed Salah has scored 9 goals and assisted 3 in the first 9 games of the season but there is always room for improvement and adding Haaland to the front three would be incredible.

The BVB attacker has 11 goals and 4 assists in 8 games and is set to set his own personal record for attacking contributions but the good news is that his €75million release clause will be in action next summer.

John Arne Riise has tipped his former side to sign Haaland, who the Reds have reportedly already made contact with, according to 90Min.

Speaking to Goal about Haaland, Riise said: “Obviously, I would love to have him (Haaland) at Liverpool because he’s an unbelievable player. He’s in great form, and I think he would suit [Jurgen] Klopp’s style of football.

"I also think he would love Liverpool as a club. But if City got him, wow! You talk about unbeatable teams, then that would be close!

“Whoever gets Haaland, whether it’s next season or whatever, is going to be an unbelievably strong team for many years to come.

“ I don’t know if Liverpool have the chance to sign him, but if they do then please do, because that would be unbelievable for the club – or for any club that signs him.”

Liverpool signing the Dortmund sensation and being able to line up with a front line of Mane/Jota, Haaland and Salah would make them the best attacking side in the Premier League in my opinion.

Fortunately, Salah's unbelievable goalscoring record means that the performance dips from Mane, Firmino and Jota at times go unnoticed.

He was on a different level against Man City at the weekend but if Haaland was brought to Anfield, it would be fascinating to see how he shares the attacking responsibilities.
