Liverpool receive major boost in reported pursuit of £400,000/week star

Liverpool-linked Aaron Ramsey has been transfer-listed by Juventus as they look to raise funds ahead of the summer transfer window.

Calciomercato reported on the 20th of March that Aaron Ramsey fancies a move to the Premier League, with West Ham United and Liverpool named as his favoured clubs.

The former Arsenal star is a talented midfielder, most notably known for his silky link-up play and ability to arrive in the box late to finish off passing moves.

Calciomercato now report that Ramsey has been transfer-listed by Juventus alongside Adrien Rabiot.

If their sources are accurate, then Jurgen Klopp has received a major boost in his reported desire to sign the Welsh star but our information contradicts this.

We were told on the 23rd of March that Liverpool are not interested in Ramsey as he doesn't fit the profile of player that Michael Edwards and Jurgen Klopp are chasing.

He would have been a good player for Liverpool if he had been signed around the time that Philippe Coutinho left the club but in Naby Keita, the Reds have a player more than capable of filling that role.

Liverpool can save further transfer funds by keeping the Guinean fit. Not only will they avoid spending money this summer on signing a creative and goalscoring midfielder, but they will also ensure the £52.75m they spent on Keita isn't wasted.

His fitness has been a major issue for Liverpool since he moved to Anfield from RB Leipzig and has missed a grand total of 54 games due to various muscle injuries.

We reported in January that Jurgen Klopp is extremely frustrated with Keita’s ongoing injury woes but, given the talent he possesses, is more than willing to persist with him.

The midfielder is hugely talented and capable of dictating the tempo of a game with ease but he needs more luck with injuries to succeed at Liverpool.
