As Liverpool plot audacious contract with unique clause for £105m ace, his club reacts with risky plan to keep him

While Liverpool are considering signing Kylian Mbappe with an audacious free contract move with a unique clause, PSG are set for a risky move to keep him.

Transfer expert Ian McGarry claims that Liverpool are plotting an audacious opportunity regarding Mbappe which could see them sign him for free next summer.

It would involve including "a get-out clause in his contract, which would be signed under freedom of movement."

While I'm not sure what the particulars of a deal like this would be, it would be incredible to see Mbappe at Anfield.

Today, Sport reports that PSG will not let Mbappe go this summer and while that's unsurprising especially after president Nasser Al-Khelaifi issued the player a 'no-excuse' warning'.

But PSG risk losing him for free next summer if they cannot get him to renew his contract and while Leo Messi's presence at Parce des Princes might help, there is no telling what the Frenchman might decide.

However, if it's true and the forward wants a clause in his to allow him to leave when he wants, it might be that he doesn't want to renew with PSG because he doesn't feel like being trapped at the club in a four or five-year contract.

Liverpool signing him would be an incredible move but I do wonder if Mbappe would join the club if Jurgen Klopp doesn't extend his contract beyond 2024.

If I was the French forward, I wouldn't want to move to a club knowing that just two years into my time at the club, the head coach was guaranteed to be on his way out.

Mbappe will be used to managerial turbulence at PSG but FSG won't find a manager that produces the kind of results that Klopp can with the resources he has been provided with.
