Video: MOTD clip from 2000 shows pundits raving about a certain 20-year-old Steven Gerrard

Liverpool were blessed – truly blessed – to have Steven Gerrard at Anfield for the entirety of his career.

And fans on Twitter have found a pearl of a video from MOTD in 2000 with rave views for a certain 20-year-old Steven Gerrard.

The future Liverpool captain was praised for his pace, shooting ability with an emphasis placed on how rare it was for a midfielder to have so many amazing talents.

In my opinion, he ended his career as the greatest midfielder to have ever played in the Premier League.

Despite not always having the quality alongside him that the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United regularly had on offer, Gerrard won everything bar the Premier League during his time as the Reds’ talisman.
