Liverpool and Mohamed Salah are reportedly close to reaching an agreement over the extension of the Egyptian forward's contract.

The forward rejected terms of £400,000/week previously and with his deal set to expire next season, he would be free to leave the club and join the likes of PSG or Barcelona on a free contract.

The Reds would have also been prone to offers this summer from Europe's big hitters even if it's my belief that Liverpool are the most attractive destination for a player of Salah's talent and style.

While the 29-year-old wants to be paid £500,000 per week in line with what Manchester United pay Cristiano Ronaldo, according to the Mirror, he is ready to reach a compromise with the Reds.
