Liverpool supporters were desperate, anxious and confused when Mohamed Salah’s cryptic agent sent a tweet out during Liverpool’s win over Norwich City.
The Egyptian, valued at €70m by CIES, was electric against Norwich and could have had a hattrick on another day but the curler he scored from just inside the box was his only goal on the day.
That’s not all as the 29-year-old grabbed two assists and his stunning display on the opening day of the Premier League season prompted his agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, to send out a cryptic tweet.
I hope they’re watching.

The four-word tweet, presumably aimed at FSG over a lack of movement on Salah’s contract renewal, was unnecessary if so and this was echoed by a multitude of confused, anxious, desperate and angry fans on Twitter.
It’s not us man wallahi we will do anything for Salah to stay, it’s these greed owners. We love Salah please make him stay please.

Ramy no need to be a Mino Raiola please. Just enjoy the win like the rest of us.

Do you have to? We love him.

Why is this necessary? Just creating anxiety between fans

Sign lifetime contract

Do you thrive on stirring controversy around Mo? You’re an agent, you do your work behind closed doors, keep it that way. I don’t have a clue what your problem is

The tweet was just before full-time almost as if to take full advantage of there being more Liverpool fans online than usual.
The response to Ramy’s tweet was huge, with 569 replies and 641 quote tweets at the time of writing.
In Salah, Liverpool have the best Premier League attacker and there’s no argument.
He was all on his own last season as Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane battled for form and struggled with fatigue but it looks as though Diogo Jota is also back to full fitness which is fantastic to see.
It’s unclear what the issue is with Mohamed Salah’s contract but hopefully, Liverpool sort it out soon as there isn’t a player they can readily replace him with without resorting to paying release clauses for the likes of Erling Haaland or waiting to sign Kylian Mbappe for free.
Salah came to Liverpool as a Premier League ‘flop’ after his failed Chelsea career and he has since proven to the Blues what a colossal mistake they made by letting him leave.
He has since won the Premier League and the Champions League with the Reds and hopefully, he’s not done with Liverpool.
