Liverpool willing to make irresistible salary offer to convince €50 million midfielder to agree to Anfield move

Liverpool are willing to pay Barcelona prodigy, Gavi, 50 times what he is currently being paid to agree to a move to Anfield.

We're all a little tired of hearing it but not signing a replacement for Gini Wijnaldum in the summer has hurt Liverpool as Curtis Jones, Harvey Elliott and Thiago Alcantara have been hit by injury while COVID-19 has affected the latter as well as Fabinho while Jordan Henderson was ill and missed a game.

Naby Keita has struggled with injury once again this season and is now missing a whole month due to AFCON but Liverpool saw that coming and should have planned better as a result.

It's also proof that FSG and Jurgen Klopp haven't learned their lesson. Not replacing the fittest midfielder at the club is bad enough but it's the same scenario as not replacing Dejan Lovren.

We saw how that led to the worst injury crisis the club has ever seen as Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez both suffered serious knee injuries, Joel Matip suffered ankle ligament damage while every other played that made an appearance at centre-back picked up an injury of some kind.

This season, it's not quite so severe at this stage but Liverpool have already had their EFL Cup semi-final first leg against Arsenal postponed after they had to close the AXA Training Facility.

With the January transfer window open, making new signings could be the answer to all of Liverpool's problems or none of them but according to El Nacional, Liverpool are willing to make an irresistible offer to Gavi to convince the midfielder to agree to move to Anfeld.

The Spanish news outlet claims the Reds are prepared to pay Gavi 50 times what he is being paid by Barcelona in order to get him to join the Reds. The young midfielder has a €50million release clause in his contract at Camp Nou that can be triggered at any moment.
