Liverpool will tomorrow officially unveil Ibrahima Konate as their first signing of the summer and he will wear the no.5 for the 2021/22 season.
The Reds announced on the 28th of May that the French defender had been signed after an agreement was reached with RB Leipzig over payment of his €42million (£36m) exit clause.
At that point, we had already confirmed that he would earn £70,000/week which amounts to a total of £18.2million over the course of his five-year contract with the Reds.
While the plan was to conduct his media duties in Liverpool, his first images in the club’s kit have been taken in la Roquette in Paris, which is, incidentally, where grew up.
Anfield Central has been told by a source close to the club’s media team that Liverpool will reveal the images tomorrow.
He will wear the no.5 jersey for the 2021/22 season after Georginio Wijnaldum secured a free agent move to PSG after his contract ran out.
