Liverpool now want to sign £100million+ star to please Klopp - He's the final piece of the puzzle

Liverpool have been backed greatly in the transfer window so far, bringing in Darwin Nunez, Calvin Ramsey and Fabio Carvalho to date.

However, the club has been continually linked with a move for Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham.

With an ageing midfield including Thiago, Jordan Henderson, James Milner and the unfancied Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, it seems midfield depth is the next target area for the club.

Jurgen Klopp is reportedly a very big fan of the former Birmingham City player and has made him a top target.

According to the Athletic, Liverpool won't be put off by the €120million (£103million) transfer and see the 19-year-old as a key target.

It's reported that Liverpool are determined to sign Bellingham to appease Jurgen Klopp, who signed a new deal that would keep him at Anfield until 2026.

With Liverpool looking to bolster their midfield options, Bellingham would be the big transfer target for next summer.

No Liverpool midfielder contributed to more than 10 goals last season and it's a position that the Reds could improve on as they look to break the stranglehold that Manchester City have on the Premier League.

The English international improved his output last season, scoring six times and laying on 14 assists in all competitions.

His output, creativity, professionalism and flexibility would be a real asset to Klopp's side and would improve their midfield in the present and set it up for the future.

The young crop of midfielders such as Harvey Elliot, Fabio Carvalho and Curtis Jones will no doubt get their chance to impress next season, but Klopp will look to bring in Bellingham regardless.

Bellingham signed from Birmingham City for an initial £25m in July 2020 and has 10 goals and 18 assists in 90 games in all competitions for the German side.
