"Would be a great signing for Liverpool": Klopp urged to complete creative deal to sign £63million attacker

Kevin Cambell suggests Liverpool swapping Serge Gnabry for Sadio Mane is worth pursuing this summer.

Mane has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich this summer and Gnabry has been linked with a move to Anfield.

When asked if a swap deal makes sense, Cambell told Football Insider: “That could be worth pursuing.

“Gnabry is going to be a sought-after player this summer. I know there is a lot of clubs who like him.

“He is a player who will be hotly pursued because he is still relatively young. We are talking about a Germany international who can play on either side, score goals, is quick and direct.

“He would be a great signing for Liverpool. There will be a lot of competition for Gnabry though. I think Arsenal would like to speak to him if there is an opportunity.”

While Gnabry, who is valued at £63million is a fantastic player, signing him is not worth losing Sadio Mane as the Senegal star offers so much to Jurgen Klopp.

He has shown (again) since being moved into a false nine role that the Reds are lucky to have a player like him at the club especially given the importance of the goals he scores.

Mane was superb against Manchester City in the Premier League draw at the Etihad, scoring the equaliser for the away side before scoring a brace to knock the Blues out of the FA Cup on the way to winning the competition against Chelsea.

Liverpool should not sell Mane this summer unless it's for an outrageous sum. Klopp can still get so much out of him and rotating him with Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino gives the Merseysiders the ability to keep the opposition guessing.
