They face a familiar foe in Manchester United as they face off against United’s new manager Erik ten Haag.

Nunez was seen leaving training early due to an issue with his feet and he is now a major doubt for the friendly.

Despite the injury scare, Nunez and Fabio Carvalho have both been named in the squad to face the Red Devils later today.

Klopp is set to give minutes to as many as possible in Liverpool’s first pre-season action.

Fans on social media were quick to criticise the Liverpool forward after fans made a ‘fail compilation’ of Nunez’s first training session.

The video shows a series of strikes from Uruguayan which failed to hit the target with rival fans quick to poke fun at the new star signing.

Arriving as Liverpool’s star signing this summer following a breakout season at Benfica, fans are expecting big things from the powerful forward.

He enjoyed a stellar season scoring 34 goals in all competitions and impressing in the Champions League scoring six in just 10 games.

Two of those goals came against Liverpool in the knockout stages as he impressed Klopp over the course of their two-legged tie.

Fans will be hoping their big-money signing can feature in some capacity against United with the Uruguayan in the squad with fellow new arrival Carvalho.
