Fabrizio Romano corroborates Sanches news

Fabrizio Romano has corroborated news that the Reds are in a race with Barcelona to sign Renato Sanches after a report from Mundo Deportivo.

A report from daily Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo surfaced on Tuesday and it cited ‘information from France’ that claimed that Liverpool are the likeliest destination for Lille’s Renato Sanches this summer.

Harvey Elliott has blown Hutchinson away

Liverpool signed Harvey Elliott from Fulham and they haven’t looked back ever since and he’s set to play a role for the Reds this season.

He said: “I have been speaking to Jason McAteer who has been following Liverpool throughout pre-season.

“He said the upturn in form with Harvey Elliott has been astonishing. He was brilliant last season on loan and he said ‘he is starting to look like a first-teamer and getting very close’.”

Liverpool are in talks to sign Doku

Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, who was the first to break news of Chelsea’s desire to sign Lukaku, says Liverpool are in talks to sign Jeremy Doku this summer.

LFC Transfer Room have done some digging and contacted Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri and asked him about Liverpool’s interest in the forward.

Tavolieri “can confirm Liverpool are targeting Doku and that if everything goes well, they will go further with Rennes.”

Liverpool staff ‘blown away’ by Woodburn

Ben Woodburn ‘put in a standout display against Osasuna’, writes the Athletic’s Caoimhe O’Neill, which saw Liverpool’s coaching staff ‘blown away.’

Liverpool’s coaching staff, comprised of head coach Jurgen Klopp and assistant coaches Pep Lijnders and Peter Krawietz have been ‘blown away’ by Woodburn, who is ‘performing on a level they have not seen from the player previously.’

The 21-year-old is described as “out of this world” and O’Neil writes for the Athletic “he has been credited by Klopp and Co as helping raise the level of the sessions.”

Opinion: Liverpool should Tanguy Ndombele

Liverpool are in need of a new midfielder and Nuno Espirito Santo is unconvinced by Ndombele, reports the Athletic – it’s the perfect storm for Jurgen Klopp.

Ndombele was reportedly available to face Arsenal in the pre-season North London friendly on Sunday but Nuno did not select him in his 25-man squad.

Klopp could complete £80.4m double signing

Liverpool can sneak past the Premier League’s rule on non-homegrown talent if they sign Jeremy Doku and I’ll explain how.

The Echo’s David Lynch raised an important point on the Blood Red podcast back in July when he said that the delay on new signings had to do with the Premier League’s rules and not with a lack of funds.

According to Sky Sports, due to the fact that speed machine Doku is 19 years old, the Premier League’s rules don’t apply and he can be registered by the Reds until he’s 21 without the rule applying to him.
