Liverpool set to complete €35million deal - personal terms worth €4.5m/year agreed

Liverpool are close to signing Renato Sanches, according to Pedro Almeida, and the move will cost €35million with the player set to earn €4.5m per year.

The Portuguese midfielder was sensational at the EUROs and as his country was knocked out by Beligum, we will see no more of him this summer but we've seen enough to know he would be great for Liverpool.

Aynone who watched Lille as they beat PSG to the Ligue 1 title will know that his displays this summer are to be expected regularly.

Liverpool close to signing Renato Sanches

That's the claim from Portuguese journalist Pedro Almeida this weekend. He states that afte a deal fell through to sign the 23-year-old in January, it's back on and close to completion.

The deal in January was going to be for five and a half years but it stands to reason that it will be a five-year contract now.

Renato Sanches is a sensational player

Much like Wijnaldum, the Portuguese is so difficult to disposses and gave N'Golo Kante the run around when he faced France during the dramatic 2-2 draw at the EUROs.

Still only 23, I don't think there is a player better suited to the role that Wijnaldum took up at Anfield and the Lille midfielder has a higher ceiling on his potential.

It's crazy to think that Lille only want €35m for a player that is as talened as Sanches but with just two years remaining on his contract, it could be that they don't want to lose anymore value by holding out for a higher fee.

Sanches is the dream FSG signing

Signing the Lisboa-born midfielder will make FSG very happy as he ticks every box they look at when sanctioning new signings.

He's young, has huge potential for growth on his market value, he's versatile and he's certain to fit Jurgen Klopp's tactical demands like a glove.

The only concern that the club might have is that he failed in the Premier League with Swansea City but that was three years ago and he's matured and developed massively since.
