Liverpool have an offer on the table to £68.2million star

Liverpool have an offer on the table to sign Aurelien Tchouameni, according to Mundo Deportivo.

It was heartbreaking watching Real Madrid win their second Champions League in five years - both at the expense of Jurgen Klopp's side.

It was even more frustrating in Paris due to the police doing their best to ruin the event for Liverpool fans.

Real Madrid won fair and square though.

Liverpool were unable to take the chances they created and Madrid did.

According to a multitude of reports, the latest from Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo confirms Los Blancos are beating Liverpool again.

The Reds have an offer on the table to Tchouameni but the midfielder has already decided his next move: he wants Real Madrid.

The report states that he was initially valued at €60m (£68.2m) but Liverpool and PSG competing with Madrid for his signature has seen that price increase to €80m (£68.2m).

It already looks likely that the deal could go as high as €100million.

Liverpool's offer to the 22-year-old has not veered him from his decision making nor has the offer PSG have reportedly made.

It's not the end of the world for the Reds as there are other players out there they can target like Ibrahim Sangare and Jude Bellingham.

Finding a right-sided midfielder specialist to complete the midfield along with Thiago and Fabinho has to be a priority for Liverpool this summer.

That's where the squad is lacking the most.

Beyond reinforcing the midfield, Klopp needs to replace Sadio Mane if he leaves (which looks very likely) as well as Divock Origi.

Two new attackers, a midfielder and a backup right back would be a successful summer window for the Reds depending on who the players are.

That said, Liverpool's transfer record is spotless so it's not something to worry about too much.

As things stand, Fabio Carvalho is already set to join the club on July 1st.
