Liverpool fans want Eduardo Camavinga for £30m

Many Liverpool fans have urged Liverpool to consider the sensational Eduardo Camavinga in the closing stages of the summer.

Fabrizio Romano reports that the Frenchman could leave the Ligue 1 club in the final days of the window.

"He’ll not sign a new long-term deal with Rennes, so they’re open to sell Camavinga for €35million fee. "It depends on the offers in the next few days. Open race."

Over a month ago, Anfield Central learned that Liverpool had held talks with Camavinga's agents - ICM Stellar Sports - and while they were described to us at the time as ‘long and fruitful', nothing materialised for the Reds.

What the blockade to a move to Anfield was is unclear but with the clock ticking, fans are hoping that he could join the club before the end of the window.

Still only 18, the Rennes star has a bright future ahead of him and it's clear that he suits Red. I can only imagine how much better Liverpool Red would look on him.

Despite comments that Jurgen Klopp made during pre-season, it seems unlikely that Liverpool will make any more signings this summer.

It's uncharacteristic for the Reds to leave their business this late and it would appear that the priority this year has been to tie down key stars to new contracts instead of signing new players.

So far, Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Fabinho have all negotiated new contracts while talks are ongoing for new deals for Jordan Henderson and Mohamed Salah.

These new contracts will see major spikes in the club's wage bill and although Ibrahima Konate shouldn't be the only incoming this summer, it may end that way.

Liverpool seem to be banking on the hope that they can keep key players fit for the whole season as they did during the 2019/20 season when they won the Premier League.

It's a major risk but if it pays off, most supporters will quickly forget about their complaints.
