‘Disaster’,'ffs’: Confirmed news has many Liverpool fans very concerned ahead of Watford clash

The Premier League has announced that Jon Moss will referee the game between Watford and Liverpool and Reds fans are not happy.

It speaks volumes about the standards of the officials in England that our fans never react with glee when the referees for a game are announced as every single one has made more than one massive error in a game involving Liverpool.

Premier League referees have been below standard for quite some time now and it's almost become accepted as part of the game that referees will make mistakes which is unacceptable.

Moss' biggest error in a Liverpool game came in 2018 when he awarded two penalties to Spurs in a game that Mohamed Salah scored a worldie which deserved to win the game.

Victor Wanyama's wonder strike had ruled out Salah's 3rd-minute goal but Moss admitted to his linesman that he had no idea if Dejan Lovren had touched the ball in the buildup to Harry Kane going down in the box.

Not only did Kane dive over Karius' arms to buy the penalty, Moss simply guessed at whether or not Lovren had made contact with the ball to play the striker onside.

Moss then awarded another dodgy penalty in stoppage time after Lamela folded like a lawn chair under minimal contact from Virgil van Dijk and Harry Kane converted the penalty after missing the earlier spot-kick.

Liverpool are second in the Premier League table currently and will be hoping to keep pace with Chelsea, who face Brentford this weekend but supporters are not happy about Moss being in charge of the trip to Vicarage Road.

The good news is that Mohamed Salah is the most in-form player on the planet and he's scored four goals and grabbed an assist in a single game against Watford before so hopefully the Egpytian King can carry the Reds through what could be a bit of a selection crisis for Jurgen Klopp.

Diogo Jota, Alisson Becker, Fabinho, Thiago, Curtis Jones, Trent Alexander Arnold and Harvey Elliott could all miss the game due to injury or travel issues.
