"Coincidence? I think not" - These Liverpool fans have conspiracy theory involving Ramos and Thiago

Liverpool fans have mocked the injury that will cause Sergio Ramos to miss the Champions League quarter-final clash next week.

Los Blancos' captain has been ruled out for a month, with Real Madrid reporting that Ramos has suffered a calf injury on international duty with Spain.

And quick to the punch, one Liverpool fan pointed out that a picture of Ramos and Thiago was taken shortly before he got injured, with the hilarious insinuation being that Mohamed Salah sent Thiago as his hitman as revenge for the 2018 Kyiv final.

Every Liverpool fan painfully remembers the injury Salah suffered in the first half of the Champions League final in 2017/18 and how it reduced the Reds to a shadow of the fast-paced side that Jurgen Klopp built that season.

Adam Lallana replaced the Egyptian and that says it all really. Real Madrid ran out 3-1 winners in the end.

Now, however, Liverpool are the bookies' favourites to win despite playing away from home and fans are apparently getting excited for the tie by coming up with hilarious conspiracy theories.

As funny as the suggestion that Salah convinced Thiago to injure his compatriot is, the replies are even funnier.

All jokes aside, Liverpool go into the last eight of the Champions League with a genuine chance of progressing to the final and with Real Madrid's list of absentees seemingly growing with each passing day, Jurgen Klopp will be more confident as he sets his team up to face the La Liga outfit.

Ramos has now joined Eden Hazard, Toni Kroos, Fede Valverde and Dani Carvajal as Zinedine Zidane's injured stars and while there is still time for the French coach to welcome some of his players back from the physio's clutches, it doesn't look good from a Real Madrid perspective.
