Liverpool have been strongly linked with a move for Jude Bellingham this summer.

The 19-year-old superstar is renowned as one of the best young players in Europe and the Reds are set to face stiff competition from Europe's elite if they want their man.

Manchester City and Real Madrid have been linked as well and Jurgen Klopp faces a tough battle to sign one of the most sought-after talents in the world.

Despite being only 19, Bellingham has totalled up 135 professional appearances across England and Germany and has scored 10 and assisted 18 for Dortmund.

Dortmund's stance on Bellingham

"They [Borussia Dortmund] will put everything into keeping him. He's an incredible player," he said when speaking to Sky Sports News.

"Whoever is joining Dortmund - they say what a player is Jude Bellingham. This guy is so young and so good.

"He is the future of the England national team but also, Dortmund are hoping he's the future of Borussia Dortmund. They will battle - they will go all in to keep him."

The Reds have been heavily linked with a move but reports broke last week claiming Liverpool had made progress behind the scenes with the Englishman's representatives.

The midfielder would be the perfect addition to Klopp's three-man midfield - but he could also offer tactical flexibility as he can also play in a two-man midfield.

His passing, physical build and ball-carrying ability set him apart in Germany and his presence in midfield for a player his age is simply incredible.

Klopp reportedly has an 'obsession' with the midfield and even made personal phone calls to the player, according to Spanish publication Nacional.

Liverpool are well in the race for the midfielder, who surely will grace the Premier League during his career, but face stiff competition from the biggest clubs in the world.
