Liverpool eye 'next Sadio Mane' for potential future signing as price tag is set to drop

Every era has to end and Liverpool have just seen Sadio Mane leave Liverpool after six highly successful years on Merseyside.

Having won every trophy on offer, he finally gets to be the main man at Bayern Munich following Robert Lewandowski's departure to Barcelona.

For Liverpool, they can look to Luis Diaz to be the next tricky, exciting and (extremely) fast winger who will terrorise defences.

However, the Reds have been linked with another African speedster for around the last few seasons and he only has two years left on his current deal.

Liverpool's long-term target

Watford's Ismaila Sarr has been linked with Liverpool ever since the 2019/20 season - which saw him score an audacious chip over Alisson as Watford recorded a famous 3-0 victory over the runaway leaders.

Sharing the same country as Mane, the comparisons don't end there. Sarr is an electric winger with incredible pace and an eye for goal. He could offer backup on either wing and be a great option on the bench.

He's also a tall winger, standing at 1.85m, which means he does possess a unique build for a winger but it also means he possesses great power when running with the ball.

Still applying his trade at Watford, the player has two years left on his deal and his price tag is only going to go down as he nears the end of his deal. Watford are in the Championship this season and will hope for a swift return to the PL.

If they don't return to the PL after this season, Sarr will have one year left on his deal and will be cheaper as a Championship player. Liverpool would be wise to keep an eye on the 24-year-old.

Having been famed for their shrewd transfer business, Sarr would surely welcome the step up to Liverpool and one can only imagine the strides (no pun intended) he'd make under the guidance of Klopp.
