Liverpool could move for 'the next Mane' who is available for just £15m - Reds have been linked before

Liverpool could still move for an attacker this summer, given that a former target is available for a fee around £15m.

The Reds have already had one electric winger from Senegal in Sadio Mane, now Liverpool could look towards a younger version of Mane in Ismaila Sarr.

Sarr, 24, was relegated with Watford last season but remained among people's main picks for a player to re-sign for a PL club.

With his valued now slashed thanks to his Championship status, Liverpool could have the perfect back-up for either wing by signing Sarr.

Fabrizio Romano hasn't ruled out move

With Liverpool already spending big this summer, they still let go fringe attackers in Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi alongside star Mane.

Fabrizio Romano spoke about Liverpool's former interest in the player but believes he could still make a move late in the window.

He told Caught Offside: “Liverpool have followed him for years but have never made any proposals, Klopp’s focus is on other deals; Sarr can be a surprise from here to the end of the market.

“Liverpool could be the right fit for Sarr’s talents, as he is a similar style of player to his compatriot Sadio Mane, who had a great career at Anfield before moving to Bayern Munich this summer.”

Where would he fit in?

For a player that Mane once called 'rapid' and 'very very fast' it's surprising people didn't see him as a Mane replacement earlier.

Given he can play off both wings, boasts incredible pace and has produced in the PL, albeit for a weak side.

In a better team its likely he could rise to the levels, as he would be afforded more opportunities in a team such as Liverpool.

He also likes to press from the front (in the 69th percentile for pressures) which shows he could adapt to Klopp's system.
