How Liverpool can use Konate's agent to complete their second signing of the summer

Having signed Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig through ICM Stellar Sports, the Reds can now use that relationship to sign Saul.

The Reds are working hard in Austria as they prepare for the 2021/22 Premier League season but work is being put in behind the scenes to get transfers over the line.

As Liverpool fans are well aware, the Reds need a new midfielder and a new versatile attacker before the squad can be called complete.

Saul is the strongest linked to fill the vacant role left by Georginio Wijnaldum but as we covered yesterday, it's not an easy deal for the Reds to complete.

Empire of the Kop reported on Friday as news broke that negotiations weren't going swimmingly between Atleti and Barcelona that Liverpool remain keen on Saul.

It's even more convoluted when you factor in the fact that Barcelona are reportedly paying the Frenchman wages in the region of £594,000/week.

Liverpool could, and this is just speculation, have the upper hand after their deal to sign Ibrahima Konate as they developed a relationship with agent Joshua Barnett of ICM Stellar Sports.

Sporting director Michael Edwards can leverage this newfound connection to bring Saul to Anfield to fill the hole that Wijnaldum left by moving to PSG.

Saul is similar to the Dutchman in that he is incredibly fit and hardly ever misses a game through injury which is the most underrated trait in a world-class player.

When you compare Mohamed Salah to someone like Neymar, the most recognisable difference is that the Egyptian is available far more often and is, therefore, able to make a greater contribution.

This is why Naby Keita will be praying his body doesn't let him down this season as he has the talent necessary to be a guaranteed starter for Liverpool.
