Liverpool boast the best U20 duo in the Premier League – the future is now

Liverpool boasts a squad that has an embarrassment of riches including world-class players and world-class talents.

With the likes of Mohamed Salah, Alisson, Virgil van Dijk, Fabinho and (much) more in the squad, it’s important to remember that the future, as well as the present, is very bright.

The Reds certainly have a claim to having the best U20 duo in the Premier League.

Fabio Carvalho has linked up well in pre-season with Harvey Elliot showcasing that this duo is at the heart of the future of Liverpool’s midfield.

These two look set to be part of Liverpool’s first team for years to come; we promise we’re not getting carried away – when does Klopp ever miss?

Elliott, 19, has been turning heads for years; he is the youngest player to play in both the EFL Cup and Premier League.

Whereas Carvalho had his breakthrough last season for Fulham, a club they both shared, as he won the young player of the year and made the team of the season.

The pair have both been nominated for the Golden Boy award and both sit among the best young players in Europe.

We believe they are the best U20 duo in the Premier League; whereas Arsenal and Chelsea boast some fantastic young players, almost all of them are over the U20 age bracket.

Both will get regular minutes this season and in this exciting, attacking Liverpool team we expect them thrive.
