Sources: Liverpool and Chelsea want "untouchable" worth £100million

Liverpool and Chelsea have been linked with Jude Bellingham in recent weeks and Fabrizio Romano says Borussia Dortmund consider him to be 'untouchable'.

Dean Jones, writing for Eurosport on the 16th of April, claimed that the teenager is valued at an incredible £100million.

The article came off the back of his most mature display yet - an incredible display against Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-final at the Westfalenstadion in Germany.

He scored in the first leg although his goal wasn't allowed for a supposed foul on Ederson although replays showed that the referee should not have blown his whistle and allowed the young midfielder to put the ball in the back of the net.

He got his goal in the second leg but it was too little to late as Dortmund were eliminated by Pep Guardiola's men but not before Bellingham had the chance to show Europe why he is so highly rated.

The Man City manager joked that the 17-year-old is lying about his age as there's no way he's that young.

Already standing at 180cm, the teenage superstar is going to be one of the best players in the world by the time he turns 21.

While he's not the exact same, as I believe this breed of player is dead, Bellingham reminds me of Steven Gerrard due to his power and thrust from midfield not to mention that he is already physically superior to some fully matured players.

Chelsea will challenge for Bellingham, as Dean Jones suggests, and Liverpool absolutely need to throw their hat in the ring. The English teenager is going to be the best midfielder in the world one day and the Reds cannot allow for one of their biggest rivals to sign him unimpeded.

Fortunately, it's clear to everyone involved that he will remain at Borussia Dortmund for several years to come. What Liverpool need to do is get their foot in the door early on either by buying him when he's coming to the end of his contract and loaning him back to the German side to continue his development or to pay a premium to secure his signature.

Bellingham's deal with Dortmund expires in June 2023 which gives Liverpool time to form a plan to sign him when the time is right.
