Julian Ward working on final transfer moves for Liverpool: Could £80M move happen before transfer deadline day?

Jurgen Klopp has hinted that Julian Ward is working on "some stuff" for Liverpool as the transfer deadline for the 2022 summer draws closer.

Liverpool have been heavily linked with a move to Anfield this summer with reports widely suggesting a move could be agreed ahead of the 2023 summer transfer window.

The Reds need to add a new midfielder to their ranks. Matheus Nunes and Nicolo Barella have also been linked although nothing concrete has been reported so far regarding plans to sign either this summer.

While it seems as though Liverpool are done making new signings, Jurgen Klopp himself has hinted that may not be the case.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Klopp let slip that the new Liverpool sporting director is "still working on some stuff".

It's unclear what he meant but it could mean that a breakthrough has been made with Borussia Dortmund for Jude Bellingham.

The Englishman is reportedly worth £80M but it seems likely that Liverpool would have to pay over the odds to convince Dortmund to sell this summer.
