Jurgen Klopp could repeat Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz trick to sign £97M attacking duo

Liverpool face off against RB Leipzig today in their third game of their pre-season so far.

The Reds have just spent a couple of weeks in Asia, facing Premier League opposition in Manchester United and Crystal Palace as they prepare for another season.

Next up is Germany before heading to Austria to face RB Salzburg before heading back to England to prepare for the Community Shield against Manchester City.

With Liverpool facing Leipzig - a team they signed Ibrahima Konate and Naby Keita from - manager Jurgen Klopp will surely have a close eye on an attacking duo who could transform their attack.

Watch out for Leipzig's attacking duo

Whilst there have been very weak links to Christopher Nkunku and Dominik Szoboszlai in the past, these are two players who look very much suited to this current Liverpool side.

Nkunku's 52 goal contributions in just 50 games were enough to edge out Mohamed Salah and his versatility across the frontline draws comparisons to that of Sadio Mane's more central role last season.

With Szoboszlai, he could offer the attacking threat from midfield as a creative but direct playmaker who can strike from distance.

Still only 21, the Hungarian has bags of ability and potential that should see him as a target in the future.

Klopp likes to scout players in person

We know Klopp likes to scout players in person; the signing of Darwin Nunez began the moment the German laid eyes on the forward in person.

A strong performance against his Liverpool side is usually enough to capture the attention of the manager and if you see him smiling on the touchline after a good bit of play, you know you've caught his eye.

This happened during the Champions League last season, as Nunez scored home and away against Liverpool - sparking an interest that ended with £85M being spent on the forward.

These Leipzig players may just be playing for a potential future under Klopp - only time will tell.
