£100m target gushes when asked about world class Liverpool player

Jude Bellingham was full of praise for Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson when asked about receiving the England no.8 jersey from the injured midfielder.

Hendo sat out England's 1-0 win over Austria on Wednesday evening but he honoured the Dortmund youngster by giving him the no.8 jersey for his debut for the senior England side, the youngest player to appear for the Three Lions since Wayne Rooney.

Although Bellingham wore the shirt on his debut, Henderson will wear it at the EUROs but it was an incredible gesture from Hendo and it clearly means a lot to his 17-year-old teammate.

"I'm very thankful to him and the team for making it an enjoyable one, and we got the win.

"I loved every minute of it. It's obviously a dream come true to start for England. Hopefully, many more to come."

Eurosport linked Liverpool with Bellingham in mid-April, claiming Chelsea are also huge fans of his but the report did go on to say that Borussia Dortmund consider him to be an 'untouchable', valuing him at around £100million.

Just 17, Bellingham has an incredibly bright future ahead of him and while there is no rush to sign him for Liverpool, he would be a terrific player to have at Anfield and if there is any way Jurgen Klopp can sign him in the coming years, supporters would adore him.

The former Birmingham City star has recently reacted to a compilation of some of Steven Gerrard's best moments for Liverpool and it sparked a response on social media from Reds fans.

If Brendan Rodgers was still at the club, he likely would have already got Stevie G to text the young player as he used to do when he was the manager of Liverpool, highlighting his lack of pull.

Jurgen Klopp has been a breath of fresh air and his move to Merseyside is the best thing that FSG has ever done for the club.
