Liverpool have been linked with a move for Sarr again and are said to be lining up a bid for the pacy forward.

Transfer Market Web claims that Liverpool will follow up on their interest in Ismail Sarr with a bid worth £40million (€46.9m).

They go on to say that he's requested permission to transfer to Anfield despite the season already getting underway - a start to which he was key.

The Senegalese forward scored a goal against Aston Villa in a game that the away side were heavily tipped to win despite losing Jack Grealish for £100million.

Should Liverpool's bid for Sarr be accepted and the Reds free up the space required in their attacking ranks to bring him in, it would be very interesting to see how Jurgen Klopp would make use of him.

He's most used on the right side of attack which is an issue on paper as that's obviously Mohamed Salah's position but Sarr is very good as a centre-forward and so if Klopp wanted to play an out and out counter-attacking game, he could field a 4-3-3 with Sadio Mane, Sarr and Salah as his front three.

I can't think of a front three in England that has any more speed. The amount of space that the trio would create on the break would be frightening.

Sarr can also play as a more traditional no.9, however, as his movement is world-class as Liverpool found out the hard way when their unbeaten streak during the 2019/20 season came to a crashing end due to Sarr's blistering brilliance.

Alternatively, Klopp could go all out and play what would be an incredible 4-2-3-1 with Salah central, Sarr on the right, Firmino playing in the no.10 and Sadio Mane on the left.

Klopp would need to play a very stable and balanced midfield so Fabinho and Jordan Henderson would make the most sense and I guess that could be an answer of sorts for not signing a new midfielder.

If you play one less midfielder, I guess, technically, depth in that area is not as important but it's still a risky approach to ignore signing a replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum given the number of games he played.
