Heavily linked €50m star has tweeted the same thing Liverpool ace did when he joined the club for €42m

Saul and Ibrahima Konate share an agent and the midfielder has shared a very cryptic anime tweet that Liverpool fans have reacted to with huge excitement.

When the Frenchman joined the club for €41.8m he tweeted a GIF of a character, Goku, from popular Japanese anime Dragon Ball Z.

For those that aren't familiar with the show, Goku was transforming from his regular state into a 'Super Saiyan' state and Konate shared this GIF with two Red dots, presumably to suggest that he was ready to go up a level with his new club.

Liverpool have been heavily linked with Saul recently but the club's hands are tied as they cannot add to their Premier League squad.

Sport suggests that it will take £42.3million (€50m) to recruit Saul this summer but it's doubtful Liverpool will offer that until they can actually sign him.

Until the Reds sell a non-homegrown player, Michael Edwards is not allowed to add to the squad, according to rules pertaining to quotas for UK and non-UK players.

The Spaniard has now sent some Liverpool fans into a frenzy on Twitter after a tweet he sent out and while it could have been a sponsored post or even a simple way to share what he was doing in his spare time, players know what they are doing.

Saul shares ICM Stellar Sports as representation with Ibrahima Konate and the Spaniard's choice of emojis made the tweet seem very cryptic.

If there is nothing more to the tweet than a harmless way to spend his time off then he really didn't need to rile us all up like that!

Until Liverpool sell Xherdan Shaqiri or Divock Origi or both, there is nothing the Reds can do to sign the no.8 and that just may be why news of their interest in him has died down recently.

Saul would be a fantastic player for Liverpool to sign and it would further strengthen the Reds'credentials as Premier League title challengers.

Time will tell whether or not he moves to Anfield but the clock is ticking...
