Readymade Divock Origi replacement can save Liverpool tens of millions

Jurgen Klopp can save millions in the transfer market by giving Harry Wilson the chance to be a part of the squad next season as a readymade Divock Origi replacement.

The Welsh forward has struggled to make an impact at Liverpool and has spent a few seasons on loan as a result but his chance to shine as part of the senior squad might finally be here.

Origi has been totally unable to break into the starting XI this term despite the struggles that Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane have had in front of goal. His 1v1 blunder against Burnley at Anfield springs to mind as the moment that defined his season.

Liverpool fans will always have a soft spot for the Belgian, but he's made just two Premier League starts this season, highlighting his status at Anfield.

Wilson is not the perfect forward. That's perfectly clear. He can often be passive and almost seems lazy at times but when he springs into life, his wand of a left foot can change a game in an instant.

In 37 Championship games this season, the Liverpool academy graduate scored 7 goals and grabbed 12 assists.

His hat-trick against Birmingham City was one of the best I've ever seen. His first goal was an opportunistic strike, with the opposition goalkeeper scrambling to get back into his box after a centre-back gave the ball away, but Wilson punished him with a 30-yard trivela that found the top corner.

That goal, in particular, will have impressed Klopp. Not only did he display his wonderful technique in all its glory but he also won the ball high up the pitch through his pressing.

Wilson often seemed as though he had the talent to be a forward for Liverpool but seemed to struggle tactically in Klopp's system but he seems to have matured and at 24, he is the perfect age to come into the squad.

His hattrick was wrapped up with two pinpoint freekicks. It's one of the best hat-tricks I've ever seen with each goal an absolute peach.

Wilson is contracted to Liverpool until 2023 which means next season could be make or break if he still has ambitions of making it at Anfield.
