Gini Wijnaldum's future unclear with 99 days remaining on Liverpool contract

With just 99 days remaining on his Liverpool contract, Georginio Wijnaldum's future at the club is hanging in the balance, with Anfield Central sources reporting that he's yet to decide on his next move.

It's a transfer saga that has become a bit boring as there isn't really any new information but as things stand, even Wijnaldum couldn't tell you what the future holds for him.

Barcelona seems the obvious option with compatriot Ronald Koeman keen to sign him at Camp Nou but with Lionel Messi's own future yet to be decided, it seems as though Gini is unsure on whether to take a chance on the Blaugrana.

Then there is the more exciting option and the one that, bar signing a new deal with the Reds, makes the most sense for Wijnaldum - Inter Milan.

The Italian side has been the biggest revelation of the 2020/21 season under Antonio Conte.

Spearheaded by Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez, the Nerazzurri have stormed Serie A and are six points clear of second-placed AC Milan with a game in hand over their city rivals.

Anfield Central have been told that Inter approached Wijnaldum and were told that he will consider their offer alongside the one from Barcelona and Liverpool. Juventus, Bayern and PSG have also expressed interest but have not yet made a formal contract offer.

As per WhoScored, Wijnaldum has made 31 starts in all competitions this season and with all the injuries, he's been a key starter. Even his biggest detractors will admit that if he leaves the club, he'll be a massive miss.

The former Newcastle United star will need to make a decision soon as a lot can change in 99 days in the world of football.
