Georginio Wijnaldum asks Liverpool for more time to consider contract offer

After being made a final offer by Liverpool Football Club, Georginio Wijnaldum has asked the club for more time to consider the new deal, Anfield Central sources can now report.

The Dutchman's contract expires in the summer and if he rejects Liverpool's new deal, he will be free to negotiate with other clubs and agree a move away from the Reds upon the expiry of his terms.

Liverpool have been told that Wijnaldum wants to take a few more days to consider the offer made to him by the Premier League champions, Anfield Central sources report.

Ever the classy player, Wijnaldum has told Liverpool that if he does decide to leave the club, he will inform them of his intentions before speaking to potential suitors.
