Jude Bellingham reportedly views Anfield as his dream destination but FSG will need to sanction a £110M to sign him.

Liverpool's midfield injury crisis has reached an untenable point with the Reds now forced to consider a midfield signing after they had decided to forego any more summer additions.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was the force midfielder to pick up an injury this summer, being ruled out for between 2-3 months which caused him to miss the Premier League opener against Fulham.

Another absentee on the opening day of the season was Curtis Jones, with the 21-year-old expected to spend 4-8 weeks on the treatment table.

Naby Keita was also missing against the Craven Cottage outfit but only through illness although his absence further strengthens worries supporters have surrounding his availability.

Thiago was forced to leave the pitch after 51 minutes due to a hamstring injury with Liverpool not providing a timeline for his return to action amid fears he could be out for months and not weeks.

Jurgen Klopp has been very vocal about having enough midfielders at his disposal all throughout the summer preparations for the new season.

However, while he does have 8 midfielders in his squad, one of them is 36-year-old James Milner and two 19-year-old's in Fabio Carvalho and Harvey Elliott.

Both are good enough to feature very regularly but Liverpool's hopes of winning the Premier League cannot be placed on the shoulders of two very inexperienced players.

Jordan Henderson is also past his best while Naby Keita is very prone to injuries.

Fabinho is Klopp's only midfielder that he can expect be able to call on every week but the Brazilian's levels have dropped this year as he seems to be suffering from fatigue and burnout that accompanies a lack of competition and rotation.

I believe Liverpool are beyond the debate over whether or not a new midfielder is needed - not signing one puts the whole season at risk.

The Daily Mirror has covered the five players Liverpool could sign this month and admit that Jude Bellingham is the "most unrealistic of all the players listed".

Youri Tielemans, Matheus Nunes, Nicolo Barella and Olympiacos' Aguibou Camara are also mentioned but I find it interesting that the Mirror hasn't dismissed the chances of signing Bellingham.

They report that the 19-year-old "is a boyhood Liverpool fan" and that he views Anfield as his dream destination "when the time inevitably comes" to leave the Westfalenstadion.

FSG will "have to green-light a deal that could cost upward of £110M to stand any chance of happening."
