Liverpool are close to completing a move for Ibrahima Konate worth £40million and a supporter has edited him into this season's home kit and it looks class.

Anfield Central has been following the story for a few months now, reporting in February that Michael Edwards had been tasked with signing the Leipzig no.6 before the end of the season.

He's just about accomplished that, with his move to Merseyside a formality now.

The graphic design community on Twitter is one of the best to be a part of or, in my case, to spectate. The hours of work that goes into creating what seems to be a simple image is incredible.

For instance, if you zoom in you can see Liverpool fans subtly included in the background of the image.

Hopefully, the next few months go by quickly so we can see Konate in a genuine Liverpool kit all that much faster. He's expected to make a huge impact at Anfield, after we were told exclusively that RB Leipzig consider him to be one of the most exciting defenders in world football.

There's uncertainty over what the exact sum of money is that Liverpool must pay to trigger Ibrahima Konate's release clause. We were told back in February that it's a €40m fee whereas reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano suggests its a fee worth €35m.

Then, you've got the Telegraph's Mike McGrath writing that Liverpool will have to pay as much as €46m.

Either way, the Reds are signing a top player with a bright future that will learn a lot from Virgil van Dijk in the next few years.
