Fabrizio Romano drops major hint that Liverpool will sign £50million baller

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has hinted that Liverpool could sign Bissouma this summer after including him in a predicted XI for the 2021/22 season.

Youri Tielemans might be the dream midfield signing for some Liverpool fans while others want the technique that Florian Neuhaus has displayed for Borussia Monchengladbach the last couple of seasons.

Me? I would love to see Jurgen Klopp sign Yves Bissouma from Brighton. I've said it before but I think he would be the perfect player to replace Wijnaldum and even improve on what the Dutchman brought to the table.

They're still interested as far as Anfield Central sources are aware but the situation is the same as it has been ever since we learned that Liverpool have cooled their interest in signing him after being told to pay £50million.

The Reds have been tracking him since the start of the 2020/21 Premier League season in which he went from strength to strength. The penultimate game of the campaign came at home vs. Manchester City and it felt like a coming of age for the Malian.

Playing in front of fans for the first time in months and against the newly crowned Premier League champions, Bissouma was immense.

Simply put, he balled out and dominated the likes of Rodrigo and Ilkay Gundogan.

Just this week, Fabrizio Romano named Bissouma as 'one of three' names on Liverpool's agenda and while he didn't name the other two, we do know that the Reds are interested in the 24-year-old.

He has now hinted that the Brighton no.8 could end up at Anfield before the summer is up after naming Bissouma in his predicted Liverpool starting XI alongside confirmed arrival Ibrahima Konate.

The biggest question mark with this lineup is the absence of captain Jordan Henderson and the fact that Bissouma isn't an attacking midfielder even if he could perform well in that role.

That aside, it's the biggest suggestion we've had recently that Bissouma could still move to Liverpool, with links to Florian Neuhaus growing stronger and stronger although that seems to have taken a step back.

According to the print edition of Bild, as cited by Inside Futbol, the German is likely to stay at Gladbach this summer even if recent reports have made it seems as though there is nothing standing in Liverpool's way of signing him.

We've had a few exclusive glances into the Reds' plans but after Konate was confirmed as the club's first signing of the summer, Liverpool seem to have shut off the stream of info coming out of the club.
