€80M bid planned by Barcelona for stunning Liverpool star as Catalonians eye sixth summer signing

Barcelona are planning another shock move in the window - this time for Liverpool's 'generational talent' in a move that is surely an impossible task.

The Catalan giants are targeting none other than Trent Alexander-Arnold for a marquee signing in 2023.

Alexander-Arnold, 23, is Liverpool through and through and has become a legend on Merseyside ever since breaking into the first team.

In what is an unlikely transfer - we know Barcelona will be willing to throw huge money in order to secure their man.

Latest reports on the transfer

Barcelona are a club with great financial issues but still have managed to sign Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, Andreas Christensen, Frank Kessie and Jules Kounde this summer - don't ask us how.

Now they're being linked with a sensational move for Trent despite the fact he's at his boyhood club.

According to reports from Fútbol Total claim that Barca are targeting the England international as their major signing of the 2023 summer transfer window in order to 'complete their squad'.

They add that the La Liga giants would offer €80M (£67M) for the Reds star, who is under contract until 2025.

"He's won the lot"

Since breaking through in 2017 thanks to an injury to Nathaniel Clyne, the Liverpool local hasn't looked back.

Still only 23, he's won everything on offer and he's the youngest player to reach three UEFA Champions League finals.

Likely to follow in the footsteps of club legend Steven Gerrard, we imagine Trent will be a Liverpool player for the duration of his career.

Barcelona can try but Trent is exactly where he belongs.
