Liverpool fans could finally see Jordan Henderson, Thiago and Fabinho start another game together after injuries prevented them from doing so regularly last season.

Thiago Alcantara was scythed down by the thug Richarlison last season which ruled him out for two months and when he was able to return, the club was in a defensive crisis which meant Hendo and Fabinho were forced to play in defence.

Then, the skipper was forced into having surgery on his groin and as a result the trio never got the chance to play together regularly but that could be about to change.

Naby Keita was benched against Chelsea in favour of Harvey Elliott and now, with a coup mounted in Guinea, he might not return to Merseyside in time to train for the Leeds game.

Elliott is also a doubt after being withdrawn from U21 training due as a precaution.

A midfield trio of Henderson, Thiago and Fabinho vs. Leeds is a distinct possibility and given the importance of winning the midfield battle against such a dynamic opponent, it makes sense to field such an experienced midfield.

Thiago, in particular, would give Liverpool the control they will need at what will be a buoyant Elland Road to ensure that the home crowd doesn't sweep their team to a win over the Reds.

After dropping two points against Chelsea, Jurgen Klopp needs to get his side back to winning ways to ensure they get back on track in the hunt to reclaim the Premier League title.

They were decimated by injuries last season but still managed to finish in third place thanks to Jurgen Klopp's managerial excellence as well as Alisson Becker's incredible header against West Brom.

This season seems as though it's going to need a lot of luck for Liverpool to beat the likes of Chelsea and Man City to the title but there is a lot of quality in the squad that is being disregarded.

People are too quick to forget how good Virgil van Dijk, Mo Salah and co. are.
