Divock Origi haunts Everton for the sixth time in his career
When the Belgian found the back of the net with his header after Luis Diaz’s bicycle kick attempt landed in his path, he haunted the Blues again.
It was his sixth goal against Everton in ten games and confirms that the Belgian loves to score against the Reds’ fierce rivals.
It was an important goal too (as are most Origi goals) as it protected Liverpool’s 1-0 lead in a fierce match.
His contribution from the bench helped Liverpool go back to within a point of Manchester City.
Jurgen Klopp hints at Origi departure in post-match interview
After the game, Klopp was interviewed by Sky Sports and appeared to confirm that the Belgian is set to leave at the end of the season.
He said: “He’s our best finisher, definitely. He always was and everybody would say the same.
“Whatever Div will do in his future, if he gets back for what he’s doing here for Liverpool, I probably will never, ever miss a player more than Divock Origi.
“Because he will just explode wherever he goes.”

James Pearce confirms impending summer departure
In his latest column for the Athletic, James Pearce has confirmed that the former Lille forward will leave the club upon the expiry of his contract this summer.
The forward would have been sold last summer had his £15 million valuation been met but it wasn’t and so he stuck around for another year and has already contributed hugely in the Premier League with a late winner over Everton and a crucial goal against Everton.
Pearce reports: “The Belgium striker is set to finally move on when his contract expires this summer.
“He has been mulling over a lucrative offer from AC Milan after a season when his opportunities have been limited.”
