Klopp told to sell starter as "Liverpool actually play better without" him
Remarkably, former Liverpool goalkeeper David James has claimed that Mo Salah should be sold because the Reds "actually play better without" him.
I've heard it all now. I know goalkeepers tend to be a bit mad - and you need to be in order to throw yourself at the feet of a player kicking a ball - but this is one of the worst takes I've ever seen.
He told Stadium Astro: "In my eyes, he might be second in the Golden Boot running, but I think Liverpool actually play better without Salah.
“The opportunity for Liverpool to maybe cash in on Salah… as you say, [Diogo] Jota then naturally fits into that front three, [Roberto] Firmino gets more freedom arguably.
“Then Liverpool have a new dynamic upfront rather than what seems to be a reliance, or has been a reliance, on Salah’s goals.”
I'm really not sure what David James has been smoking but Salah is the most important player at the club closely followed by Virgil van Dijk.
