New Liverpool signing will arrive for training on July 4th after fresh update

Liverpool pre-season training will begin on July 4th, a fresh update confirms, and Fabio Carvalho will report for his first training session after he officially joins the club.

The Fulham teenager is set to be officially unveiled as a Red on the 1st of July – the day after his contract with the newly-promoted Premier League outfit expires.

Signing Carvalho cost the Reds £5million up front and although he is technically a free agent this summer, Liverpool have to pay compensation for his development because he is under 24.

Fabio Carvalho

Liverpool will report for training on July 4th at the AXA Training Centre. Carvalho will report for duty while Sadio Mane and Divock Origi will not be in attendance.

The former is set to join Bayern Munich while Origi is moving to AC Milan and so the first day of training might come with a sense of change.

It’s now up to Julian Ward to ensure Liverpool adequately replace both forwards which will be an incredibly difficult objective given everything they’ve achieved with the Reds.

Both have won everything there is to win at club level and for Origi, in particular, a new challenge could be exactly what he needs as he enters his prime.

Divock Origi and Trent Alexander-Arnold

It’s going to be exciting to see more of Carvalho in pre-season training clips and to get more information on where he will play for the Reds.

He can play in midfield, as a no.10 and even on the wings while the Portuguese star can even play as a false nine or an outright no.9.

Hopefully, Carvalho’s versatility doesn’t turn out to be a curse as we’ve seen with some forwards in his mould but it’s clear that watching him is going to be joy.
