Video: Jurgen Klopp laughs as he tells Liverpool player he's being fined

Jurgen Klopp laughed hysterically as he told Curtis Jones he was going to be fined as he turned up late to Liverpool training in a video from LFCTV GO.

The club shared a video on their site which Empire of the Kop shared as LFC prepare for this weekend's clash against Southampton which has huge consequences on the Premier League top four.

We've copied the embed code below so that you can watch the video shared by EOTK and we found a moment from the beginning of the video to be absolutely hilarious as Klopp laughed at Jones.

The young midfielder turned up to training just as his teammates were about to begin warming up, with Klopp saying: "Too late, Curtis! Sorry, that costs!"

Like other clubs in the Premier League, Liverpool have a fine system to punish players for things like being late, getting sent off and other disciplinary issues.

Jones will now be fined after turning up late to training on Tuesday but judging by the laughter from Jurgen Klopp and Andy Robertson, it's not a big deal especially as he only missed the small speech the manager gave before training started.

Jones has gone off the boil a bit recently after his early-season form suggested he would become a key performer this term but a muscle injury interrupted his flow and he has since struggled to break back into the top four.

Despite his dip in form, he has four goals and four assists this season which is good. He'll be hoping to contribute even more next season when Liverpool are expected to return to their free-flowing best.

Jones was also involved in a brawl while on international duty with England U21s which saw him sent off against Croatia.

While the ill-discipline will have seen him receive a talking to, it's great to see how passionate he is even when involved at youth level as that kind of commitment has been lacking for England's national team for a long time.
