Could Liverpool sell £180,000-a-week player? - latest reports suggest so!

Liverpool have been very active this summer in the transfer window and they could be about to enter it once again.

Where they've brought in the likes of Darwin Nunez and Fabio Carvalho, they've also said goodbye to Sadio Mane, Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino.

With Nunez and Diogo Jota occupying the main central striker role, it leaves Roberto Firmino down the pecking order.

Despite reports that he's happy at Anfield, there has been real interest from Juventus and that interest is continuing to grow.

Latest reports on Firmino

According to Corriere dello Sport, Liverpool have agreed to sell Roberto Firmino to Juventus, a player Jürgen Klopp wants to keep at Anfield.

It was football journalist Fabrizio Romano who claimed that the German manager wants Firmino to stay at the club.

However, Italian media source Corriere dello Sport claim that a fee of £19m has been agreed between the Reds and Juventus, with Firmino now closing in on a move to Turin.

Other targets include Timo Werner and Anthony Martial but it seems Firmino might be the most likely scenario for the Old Lady.

Firmino at Liverpool

The Brazilian was signed before Klopp took over but he's become a key player in his time on Merseyside.

He played the second half in the 1-0 loss to RB Salzburg yesterday and could be eying up a potential starting place against familiar foes Manchester City on Saturday.

Despite less than 10 starts in the PL last season, he managed 11 goals and five assists in all competitions.

That included five in the Champions League and a hattrick in the Prem against Watford - but will that game time be enough to satisfy him in a World Cup year with Juventus coming in strong?
