Could Liverpool move for former Juventus star Paulo Dybala?

As of today (July 1st) Paulo Dybala is officially a free agent after running down his contract with Italian giants Juventus.

Liverpool, who have been linked in the past, could look to fill the void left by Sadio Mane’s move to Bayern Munich last month by bringing in the former Juventus star.

They’ve already enlisted the services of former Benfica star Darwin Nunez and youngster Fabio Carvalho so far this summer to help replace their former Senegalese frontman.

However, with fan favourite Divock Origi heading to AC Milan on a free transfer and domestic cup king Taki Minamino also moving onto AS Monaco, it leaves Liverpool with room for another potential attacking signing.

Their current attack consists of leading man Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota, Roberto Firmino, Darwin Nunez and star January signing Luis Diaz.

Whilst their forward line is stacked on paper, Firmino seems to have declined in terms of both output and importance in recent seasons.

Many of Europe’s leading clubs have been linked with Dybala over the years and now seems the perfect time to acquire his services on a free transfer. Inter Milan have been strongly linked with a move for the forward, as they look to add him to an attack already featuring Romelu Lukuku and Lautaro Martinez.

He stands out as one of the best players available on a free transfer this summer and could be a real coup for any top side looking for a silky, skilled, and experienced forward.

The forward is capable of playing anywhere across the front line, is comfortable on either wing and can also feature as a central striker, second striker or as an attacking midfielder too.

His flexibility and added quality would see him be an asset to any top side and would give Liverpool another high-quality option.

He managed 15 goals and 6 assists in 39 appearances last season and scored 115 goals in 293 games during his seven-season spell with the Turin side.

Whilst his output has varied in recent years, his best season return was in 2017/18 when he managed 22 goals and five assists in the league and 26 goals in all competitions.

Alongside that, he’s won five Serie A titles, four Italian Cup’s and also notched three Italian Super Cups during his time with The Old Lady.

Whilst Liverpool have been linked with the forward in the past, we could see the Reds make a move.
